The cellular antenna indicator shows full signals when there is no internet coverage. What if it was a multi level status icon?
Background
One day my mom came to me with her phone asking if there’s something wrong with it as her whatsapp messages were not going through. I noticed that the data service might be down which I confirmed with a quick browser check by opening www.google.com.
This is something I have faced myself many times. My phone even if connected to 4G will at times not transfer any data due to problems with the internet signal strength.
Idea
The signal strength bars themselves represent cellular signal while a fill represent data speed/bandwidth.
